Vintage Victorian Women & Cards

Hi again ladies....I asked to Nikbee  create something with my vintage colorful
and she did this gorgeus card......OMG I love these roses...and
the funny butterfly at bottom right

Enjoy watching it

She sail: I hope you are having a good weekend.  Daisy and hubby have gone to the theatre to see a production of Annie, and Martha is having a nap, so I thought I would get on here for a bit. This card showcases one of the wonderful images from Nicecrane Designs and is from the Women,Women,Women pack.  This made me laugh as soon as I saw it and just had to make something with it.  The paper is by Prima, the flowers are Wild Orchid and the sentiment is from my stash and I don't know where it is from, sorry.  I have used the fab sketch from Feeling Sketchy.  This is the first time I have been able to join in this month as it's been busy having Daisy home from school, but hopefully I will be able to enter more once things get back to normal.
And here is my own creation:

 My Vintage Fashion ATC Card.

women collage sheet for you, and here I asked to the DT
to create anyhting to show you all the possbilities, here is the work
by Mitra Lee working with my new:

Cigar Box Alteration & at Odds with the Universe

You ever feel at odds with the universe? The only reason I ask is that with this box, I was pretty sure I had done something wrong on some kind of cosmic level.

Thankfully this box is all finished now! I tell you, it kinda fought me every step of the way!Is she not darlin'? I paired her up next to a bloom from Manor House and a few handmade blooms from Anni at Handgathered goods.

I used another image from Ignacio/Nicecrane for the inside. His customized top & bottom edges are genus!
They are really sweet and made a nice addition to my lid. I think that perhaps when I am inclined to give this box away as a gift, I'll add a little personalized note there all handwritten.

Happy Altering and always point the nozzle away from your face. ;-)

Genuine Folkard ATC Mini Album by Lisa S. (from my DT)
Directly from her blog:

Happy Monday everyone! I'm excited to share my very first ATC mini album with you featuring the Unforgettable Alice Pack by Nicecrane Designs. This pack has several collage sheets included and I used the Genuine Folkard ATC/ACEO background collage sheet for my album. It has several images from Alice in Wonderland and my daughter claimed it for her own the minute I finished lol.

For the base I recycled corrugated board and distressed all of the edges. Old book paper is the next layer and I sprayed each one with color mists to bring in a pop of color. The ATC's were next and I skewed panels for a touch of whimsy. The next decision was to choose which embellishments to use and I've become a big fan of Studio Calico's wood die cuts so you'll several of those throughout. The one item I found in my stash that I've had for awhile, Vintage Findings by Making Memories, is actually a sheet of ephemera in a metallic silver finish. The flower stems were perfect for the cover but I needed to tone the silver finish down and ginger alcohol ink did the trick. The bird is also part of the ephemera sheet and I used Sailboat Blue to turn him/her into a pretty little bluebird. Prima roses, Webster's Pages Lotus Blossoms Whimsies, a T!m Holtz memo pin, Spare Parts button and WMS twine add the finishing touches to my front cover. To bind my album I punched a 1/16th hole in the upper left corner and slipped a 7 Gypsies book ring through it and added seam binding, gold twine & ivory ribbon. Here's the rest of my album.

A really true Treasure,,,,,,,for Alice Fans
Special thanks to Lisa S. for this stunning collection.

I am showing here the complete picts included on Genuine Folkard Collage Sheet ......But

True Love Hook Board by Mitra Lee (From her blog)
Love it, love it, love it,,,,such a creativite project....

So, it's been two years since we moved in here at this house.

So, it's been two years since we moved in here at this house.

For two years, I have endured the top of my jewelry box being the home to spare things. Might just be a shirt or two, but regardless, when I want to find some earrings, I have to move them off the top.

Not a huge deal since I don't wear jewelry all that often due to the fact that nobody sees it....except the dogs....but, I did get the urge to have THE MAN start hanging up his things....and wanted a spot for a few of my things too.

So, since I likely can't buy something I'd like, I made my own.

I modge podged some doilies, roses, and cool images onto a board and added hooks.

The images are an easy peasy download from
Nice Crane Designs and were previously magazine covers. They are designed as ATC images, but I like how they work on this board. I printed them out on an 81/2 by 11 sheet of photo paper and sprayed them with clear acrylic before working with them. The acrylic protects them from the Modge Podge which makes them run.

Here is another shot of the middle of the board. I love those dresses and hats! So feminine!

How do you like the little red roses? I love those...they are pretty and embossed.

Added various spritzes and ink pads to get the shimmery background. Of course shimmer modge podge helps too!

I may have gone a little TOO girly with this hook board though.

I got THE LOOK when I asked how he liked it. Evidently someone thinks its pretty um...feminine for his taste. Not like his shirts will know!

p.s. How do you like that background I took those photos on? That is a huge boulder that sticks up in my lawn. When we moved here, they were hiding it under a small little garden. I was super excited to find the rock. I know, I may be slightly crazy...but I do love a good boulder. ;-)

And here is the product:

Finally I must tell you Margreet from  Margreet´s Scrapcards in now on my DT
Horayyyyyyy for Margreet,,,,,,welcome on board my friend....

And she was working with my Vintage Cute Kids CS to create this adorable card:
My card share this time is one of the adorable images from Nicecrane Designs.... isn't he gorgeous? I must have been in the right place at the right time, because I left a comment on a card that had used one of these images and the designer Ignacio asked me to become one of his designers and told me I could go to his website and pick my favourite. How generous is that !!!!!

My share today is one of the 'Vintage Cute Kids' from Nicecrane Designs, which you can buy  from here. I have chosen for a precoloured version this time. My mother (of 85 years old) has crocheted the flowers, which I 'filled' with a big brad and some WOC flowers. The photo corner is a Quickutz die.

Special thanks to all DT members fro these unique projects.......wowww,
